THE GLENS AT GREENDALE
GREENDALE HOA INC.
FENCE & STORAGE BUILDING APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in submitting a request for approval to construct a fence. Your plans must be approved by the elected Board before construction can begin. Once you have gathered the proper documentation (listed below), submit a copy of all documents to the address on the right of this page. Documents will not be returned. You will be contacted by the Board once a decision has been made.
In order to speed up the approval process, please submit the following documentation at one time:
1. The below “Fencing and Storage Building Guidelines” document with your signed name stating that you agree to abide by the guidelines.
2. The below “Fencing and Storage Building Application” document.
3. A plot plan depicting the location and diagram and/or picture describing the fence and fencing material. If a bid has already been completed, include the bid sheet.
4. A certificate of General Liability Insurance from the contractor (can be requested for free from agent).
5. A copy of the contractor’s LFUCG Contractor’s ID (required for contractors to work in Fayette Co.)
6. A copy of the approved LFUCG Fence/Wall Permit (including permit number)
NOTE: If you are installing the fence yourself, please make it known on the application. Proof of insurance and LFUCG Contractor’s ID are not required but you must obtain a valid permit.
Additional Guidelines that must be met:
1. Construction must match the approved proposal.
2. The fence shall be of uniform height up to 6’ in all locations.
3. When the fence is complete, the finished side shall face outward towards your neighbors house and match any existing fence that may border your property.
4. It is your responsibility to determine property boundaries and restrictive easements.
5. If existing utility boxes are on your property, you are not permitted to box them out. Construction of the fence must allow access to these boxes.
6. It is your responsibility to consider surface water drainage affected by the fence where applicable. No water shall be impeded, altered or dammed from its normal flow by the construction of the fence.
7. You are not permitted to stain or paint the fence without receiving approval from the elected Board.
8. Property outside and inside the fence must be maintained with equal regularity.
9. The fence must be kept in good repair at all times. Failure to do so would be considered a nuisance and would be in violation of the Deed of Restrictions.
10. Fence must stop at the back corners of your house.
11. This approval does not assure conformance to the requirements of federal, state or local regulations; nor does it assure conformance to restrictive easements or title claims.
12. All restrictions set forth in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions must be followed. A copy of the CCR’s can be found here.
